[It was already dark, but at the same time it wasn't too terribly late when the younger of the Gokuderas returned to the apartment. He had been gone most of the day, though there hadn't been anything wrong exactly. He'd been thinking mostly. . . and trying to get the nerve up for what he was currently trying to do. He was nervous, and that much was obvious. Mostly by the way he kept fidgeting with his rings, but there were other small signs too.]

". . J-Juudaime?"

[Even the hesitation in his tone gave away his nervousness. . . and he was only too painfully aware of all of this. He hoped that no one else would notice. . . But. . . really. . . It was entirely too obvious.]

[S'okay, 'Dera. He loves you anyway. He offers another smile in thanks as he heads out the door, though the subject of the switching--lack thereof?--causes him to frown slightly. Tsuna hadn't failed to notice this fact either, though, considering some of the things that happened here--it might not be such a bad thing at times. Either way, unbalanced as the time was, there wasn't much that could be done about it....]

It's too bad it's not more even... But at least it worked out this time. We'll have to make the best of it.
