[It was already dark, but at the same time it wasn't too terribly late when the younger of the Gokuderas returned to the apartment. He had been gone most of the day, though there hadn't been anything wrong exactly. He'd been thinking mostly. . . and trying to get the nerve up for what he was currently trying to do. He was nervous, and that much was obvious. Mostly by the way he kept fidgeting with his rings, but there were other small signs too.]

". . J-Juudaime?"

[Even the hesitation in his tone gave away his nervousness. . . and he was only too painfully aware of all of this. He hoped that no one else would notice. . . But. . . really. . . It was entirely too obvious.]

[He looked up when the other came through the door, taking note of that tone first. Between that and everything else, it really was all too easy to tell something was up. Still, he decides not to further point out the obvious by questioning the nervousness. It seemed difficult enough for Gokudera already.]
