[Someone else has made a reappearance - or least he has within apartment 27. Gokudera was currently fast asleep in the room he shared with Tsuna and Yamamoto, though exactly how he was sleeping depended on the circumstances. If there had happened to be anyone else in bed at the moment he had reappeared he'd probably be curled up against whomever that may be. If there wasn't, he would simply be curled into the blankets. Regardless of which it was, he would be quite fast asleep and possibly snoring softly. On another note, he was also breathing properly and seemed to be quite peaceful in his slumber.

Once he woke up, he probably wouldn't be all too happy - this particular death had been a bit more painful than his previous and he wasn't at all happy for it. But for the moment, he'll just resume sleeping contentedly with Uri curled at the foot of the bed. The feline seemed to be napping as well.]

[There's a sigh to that. His touch is still gentle as he runs his fingers through your hair, petting you a little, but there's a slight edge to his voice now.]

" . . . I'm sure if she could help us she would have done so."

[His own voice is gentle, as if trying to calm you. He's not entirely sure how much he believed his own words. It was entirely possible that both mermaids believed their lives to be their play things. . . . A thought that certain did not sit well with Gokudera.]

[He's going to pull you even closer if you let him. It's almost protectively... Or it would be, if it weren't for the fact you already know something's off. Instead it comes across as a little more possessive than anything.]

[He'd known something was definitely different about you - he'd even noticed it somewhat before through his pain. He will, however, allow you to pull him closer. He'd really allow you to do just about anything - even if you were acting strangely . . .It was you, after all.]

[. . . . Even he'd acknowledged - for all his talk - that there really wasn't anything they could do.]

[His tone was still gentle, not really certain what else he could tell you other than the truth. He didn't want you trying something rash - while you weren't generally one to behave rashly, you also weren't yourself right now either.]

Mm... [It's a sound of agreement, though the tone of it is irritated. Not irritation directed at you, of course, but all the same. Still, he can guess what you're worried about and no matter how infuriating Thalassa is, he has no plans to leave your side anytime soon.]

You're right, although... I just really hate that she has to play with what's mine.

[Despite his more neutral tone, there's a familiar orange glow in his eyes, except with no flame to accompany it. It fades almost as quickly as it appeared and at any rate, before you have much time to wonder about that oddity, he'll be claiming your lips in a kiss.]
